We created the website for embroidery artist Kumiko Panton, based in Tokyo and Denmark. Drawing from the European tradition of whitework embroidery, the site explores the craft’s deeper artistic value, transcending the boundaries of “handicraft” to present it as a refined form of visual art.
The entire site is composed in white theme, allowing light and shadow to reveal the intricate textures of the embroidery through 3D expression. With an abstract and spatial approach, the site offers a highly immersive visual experience, inviting visitors to engage with whitework embroidery as a conceptual and cultural phenomenon.
